Welcome to Four Deck, a vacation cottage unlike any other.
Fourdeck is a three bedroom, two bathroom cottage with a sleep-in loft,
full kitchen, gracious living area with cathedral ceilings,
expansive wrap-around deck, spacious, private yard, and best of all,
is a five minute stroll to the best beach on Nantucket Island:
"Sunset Cove" is the master suite with a queen bed, private access
to the deck, and bathroom with shower.
The "Honeymoon Suite" is the junior suite with two twin beds and
private access to the deck.
The "Nursery" is the third bedroom, with two twin beds
The "Crow's Nest" is a spacious loft with pull-out queen sofabed and ample seating area.
The full bathroom has combination shower/tub.
The kitchen was newly renovated in 2002, with brand new cabinetry, countertops, and all appliances. It is well-stocked with
expansive bar/seating area.
The living area is cozy yet spacious with new furniture, fireplace,
entertainment center, and plenty of books and games.
The deck was renovated in 1999, and is a highlight of the house. Its
expansive size and adjoining large yard are ideal for entertaining and
outdoor activities (our favorite is croquet!).
The semi-private beach is a quick five-minute walk;
just follow the footpath direct from the backyard!
All linens, even beach towels, are included in the rental. Fourdeck comes
equipped with a full-size washer and dryer, outdoor shower, gas and charcoal grill, and beach chairs and toys.

Welcome to Four Deck! We were the first family to
break ground on Pochick Rd., back in 1978. At first the only access
road was the dirt path to the beach, but by about 1982 Pochick was
paved, and neighbors began popping up. We worked for almost 10 years
on the house, completing all the interior construction ourselves.
The master suite ('Sunset Cove') was added in 1983. We expanded
the deck and yard in 1999 for a family wedding that took place in
June 2000. We do improvements every year and hope that they will make
your stay more enjoyable. Our newest project is the brand new kitchen,
with shining new cabinets, countertops, floor, and dishwasher.
Fourdeck is are located on the south side of the
Nantucket island, at Surfside. If you walk onto our deck, around to the left you
will see a pathway
leading out to Nonantum Road across from which is a semi-private beach.
The surf is great, but if you are in need of a lifeguard, you should
head right about ½ mile down Nonantum Rd. to the Surfside Public Beach.
'Town', or Nantucket Island Center, is about
4 miles north of us; a quick drive but also a pleasant bike ride
or roller-blade from the house. Shopping, dining, and sightseeing
in town are wonderful. The other town on the east end of the island
is Siasconset (pronounced 'sconset), where you can see a beautiful
sunrise. Sconset (and the other settlements of Madaket - where you
can see a beautiful sunset, Miacomet, Dionis, and all the rest) can
also be reached by bike; one of the nice things about Nantucket is
the extensive network of bike paths, making the non-driver feel more
at home. The large grocery store, Stop-n-Shop, is on the outskirts
of town, along with a pharmacy, liquor store, gas station, tackle shop,
and donut shop; what more could you possibly desire from your shopping
experience? A smaller A&P is located in town at the straight wharf.
